1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

This website is a static informational offering for the open-source project JasyPDF. We use no tracking, no analytics tools and no third-party cookies. Fonts and icons are served locally from our own server, with no connection to third-party servers (in particular not to Google Fonts). The only client-side storage is strictly necessary (see section 5).

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by 1&1 IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany ("IONOS") on a server in a data center in Germany (Frankfurt am Main). No transfer to a third country outside the EU/EEA takes place. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of our online offering pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

4. Server log files

When you access the website, the host automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are typically:

shortened or anonymized IP address
date and time of access
name and URL of the file accessed
amount of data transferred
browser and operating system used
the previously visited page (referrer), if transmitted

This data is processed solely to ensure trouble-free operation and the security of the infrastructure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and is not combined with other data sources. The log files are deleted after a short period.

5. Local storage

We store strictly necessary settings exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage). This is not tracking and not a third-party cookie. Specifically:

your chosen appearance (light/dark mode)
the note that you have already dismissed our privacy notice

This storage is strictly necessary for the function you requested; consent is not required for it pursuant to § 25 (2) TDDDG. You can delete this data at any time via your browser settings.

6. Fonts and icons

The fonts used ("Inter", "Space Grotesk", "JetBrains Mono") and the icons are bundled locally at build time and served from our own server. No data is transmitted to third parties (e.g. Google).

7. External links

This website contains links to external sites (e.g. to the source code on GitHub). When you click such links, you leave our offering. We have no influence over the respective provider's data processing; that provider's privacy policy applies there.

8. Your rights

Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to:

access to your processed data (Art. 15 GDPR)
rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
object to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

An informal message to the email address above is sufficient to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

9. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this site uses TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the https:// in your browser's address bar.

10. Status

Status of this privacy policy: June 2026. We will update this policy if our offering changes.
